Gujaratstartups, SURAT: Krishak Bharati Co-operative Limited (KRIBHCO), a premier fertilizer co-operative society, which had set up Kribhco Infrastructure Limited, (KIRL) a wholly-owned subsidiary, has obtained licence for container train operations from Indian Railways to undertake the business of total logistics on multi-modal transportation of cargo.

KIRL will serve various streams of customers. It started its trial run from Hajira Rail Terminal in Surat on Wednesday.

Chairman, KRIBHCO, Dr Chandra Pal Singh inaugurated the new venture at Hajira plant. The company has already identified vantage locations in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Shajehanpur, Rewari, Panipat and Hindan city.
