AHMEDABAD: The online Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) was conducted on Wednesday across 23 centres in the state.
The exam was conducted in three batches. The students took the exam on the computers at the at the selected academic institutes which where the selected centres .

Approximately 6,000 applicants took the exam on day one. GCET, which is being conducted by the Gujarat Technological University (GTU), will continue for the next three days.

The exam was conducted with minor technical problems . Students came out of the exam centre excited and happy . Also, by the end of the two hour exam, the GCET taker knew exactly where he stood, because within minutes of his submission of the paper, the mark sheet was given to the participant.

Ishan Dave, a businessman , who is aspiring to take up management studies, said, "It was a great experience to give the exam online exam. I have never given an on-line exam before and I could not practice even during the preparation . But as we entered the class, the staff present gave us instructions on how to approach the exam and what all needs to be taken into account".
